Project 366, Week 2

First things first, do you like my new blog layout? I LOVE it!

January 8- I bought a reusable K-cup for my Keurig. They're a little pricey-around $18- but I got it at Bed, Bath, & Beyond and used a 20% off coupon. And, if you think about it, a box of disposable K-cups is around that much. So, you're saving a ton of money by buying your own beans and avoiding the non eco-friendly, plastic K-cups.

January 9- It was the first day of Winter term! I got up extra early so I could get dressed and ready. I didn't have someone here to take my "first day of school" picture so I just snapped it of myself.

January 10- I tried to knock out a few more chapters of The Help. I've been trying to read this since about August. Sad, I know. I'm not a slow reader but with nannying over the summer and school this past fall, I haven't had a lot of time to read it. I'm determined to finish it this month, though.

January 11- First of all, Wednesday was my brother's birthday! Happy 29th (haha, correct?) Birthday to him! Back to the picture, I had school today and I walk outside and my car is like an ice rink. I had to scrape all of the windows before I could leave!

January 12- I noticed excess water in my fridge so I just took this as an opportunity to clean it out. I moved some drawers and shelves around and I just like the layout a lot more.

January 13- April and I went to the first OSU gymnastics meet! I have been to quite a few and it was fun taking April to her first. OSU is #7 in the nation and they competed against #4 Oklahoma. AND WE WON! The score was so close at the end but the girls did awesome! Oregon State also snapped Oklahoma's 32 match winning streak. Oregon State Gym is now #3 in the nation!!

January 14- Yesterday, I went over to April's and we made the best dinner we've ever had. We made the beef and broccoli from my Biggest Loser cookbook and it was the definition of delicious. After, we played a new game, Quelf, and then watched Miss America. I was so happy with who won. April and I picked Miss Wisconsin and Miss Oklahoma when they announced the top 15 so we were stoked that they were in the top 2. I didn't care who won at that point. But, I looooved Miss Wisconsin's dress!

Have a Happy MLK Day tomorrow!
