Today, I woke up and it was SNOWING! Actually, it still is right now. I was bummed at first because I was really excited to go to church. Normally, we go to the 9am so I knew that was out. It's all the way across town and I pick April up and she lives at the top of a huge hill. Even though I have studded tires, no thanks. I figured the snow would stop and we could go to the 10:45 service but it doesn't look like that's happening either.
I took this just a few minutes ago. The snow had stopped, as usual in the Pac NW, but just started coming down hard again. Maybe the snow is here to stay for a little while...
More of my parking lot around 8:15 this morning.
You can tell how hard it was coming down in this picture.
Now, when my siblings and I were younger and it snowed, we weren't allowed to play in the yard. Well, let me take that back. We weren't allowed to play in the FRONT yard. My mom thought the snow was too pretty for an army of her hooligan children to play in. If we wanted to play, we had to stay in the way back so no one would see the stomped on, now brown, snow. I remember being so annoyed at this rule. If I was going to make a snowman, I wanted people to SEE it.
Now, it's all come full circle. I GET it now. Hear that, Mom? You were right. I am now the type that gets upset when people trudge across the grass instead of using the sidewalk. So, yes, you can be DARN sure that my army of hooligan children will be playing in the way back of the yard. Assuming we live somewhere with snow. Ohh, Pac NW, snow one hour, sunny and 65 the next.
Happy Sunday!
Love me some snow...minus being outside!
ReplyDeleteThe Sheriff says good choice on not driving in the snow. Even with studded tires.
