10 random things about me

It's cold and gloomy today and I can't think of many things to write about so I figured I would do a list of random facts about myself. Some of my family may know of/have the same thing too.

1. I hate showering. Now, before you think I'm a dirty, disgusting mess, let me clarify. I like to be clean, I just hate the process of showering. I don't like having my hair wet and then knowing I have to dry and straighten it to make it look somewhat okay. Because, my hair when dried naturally= caveman hair.

2. I get disturbed when mixing natural light with artificial light. As in, if I have my blinds open and there's enough light for me to see, I can't stand to have my overhead lights on. Something triggers in my brain and it makes me cray-cray. I'd prefer to have it darker and only use natural light.

3. I have to wear my hair up during tests and quizzes at school. I have a short attention span when it comes to tests in general and I've discovered that if I wear my hair down I get distracted by my split-ends or just messing around my my hair in general.

4. I have to let my feet "dry" when I get out of the shower. I can't get out of the shower and quickly put on socks or shoes. I have a fear that my feet are going to mold or something if I don't let them dry. So, this usually results in me laying on my bed or couch for 5 minutes when I get out of the shower.

5. I start gagging when I think about trying to eat a kleenex. This sounds totally weird but to me it's that feeling of trying to get enough saliva. It gives me shivers.

6. I love going places by myself. I've been to movies, plays, church, and plenty of stores by myself. For some reason I never feel weird doing it. I'm really independent and prefer to do things on my own. As in, a walk around Target by myself? Bliss. You make think it's weird but I think it's weird when people can't do things on their own.

7. I have a weird schedule when it comes to cleaning. I'm either really clean or really messy. Most of the time, my kitchen and living room are really clean but my bedroom and linen closet are a nightmare. The blessing and curse, though, of living by yourself is there's no one to yell at you to clean up your mess. Also, regarding cleaning, I get a high from having my dishwasher and washing machine running. It's like I know I'm being productive without having to do any work.

8. My bottom lip gets cracked in the winter when I don't put chapstick on frequently. I have a compulsion where I bit at the skin on my lip and pull it off with my teeth. Again, weird, but I get a high from doing it. Of course, I pay for it later when my lip bleeds and scabs. Sexy.

9. You know when the moon is mostly covered and there's just a sliver of if actually glowing? Growing up, my family called it a "toenail moon". As in, it's thin and bent and looks like a toenail clipping. Totally not weird.

10. I love cold food. Pizza, pasta, chicken, potatoes, you name it. Most of the time I like them cold as leftovers rather than hot. I'd rather eat a cold chicken strip than a hot one anyday!
