The 2012 Flood

First, we had almost a week of snow, and then constant days of rain. Unfortunately, all of that rain and the melted snow caused high, fast moving rivers, flooded streets, and cars swept away.

April and I bundled up with waterproof jackets and galoshes and went out to explore the damage.

Here we are! You can see the flooded streets behind us. This road was closed down for a few days.

Normally this area is just grass but it turned out like a wetland.

This was almost backed into someone's back yard!

This little creek by my apartment was full to the brim and almost reached the top of that bridge.

The rain seems to have subsided today but is forecasted to be back by tomorrow. I will get my Project 365 post up today.
