Photo catch-up

Bad blogger award. I know, broken record over here.

Anyways, a couple weeks ago I went home for the weekend to spend time with my family. It had been awhile since I had seen them. I also had to hang out with my niece, of course.

Here we are on Sunday. Baby Emma's first self-y.

She was taking a quick power snooze on the couch. Most of the time she just napped in our arms.

I was trying to get Ry to take a picture with me so I flipped on the front-facing camera on my iPhone. I think he was more engrossed in seeing himself, than to smile.

After the weekend, which seemed much too short, I headed home. I had a 5k I was running that Sunday and had to get back for it.

I stayed the night at April's place the night before so she could drop me off at my race.

This is her kitty, Hobbes, in her first blog-o-sphere appearance.

Before the race...

It was raining that day but I survived. I ran my first 5k in the rain, also. It must be good luck!

My bib! My guess is there was only about 400 runners so it was a fairly small group.

After the race... I'm not embarrassed at how gross I look in this picture. I worked hard!

Jump forward to a week ago, I was able to Skype with my family and talk to my nephew a little bit. He's so cute. It warms my heart when he walks into the room and sees me on the screen and runs up to the computer and reaches for it. I miss him so much!

I'm beyond excited because I get to go home in a little over a week for Thanksgiving! I love being home and I love being home during the holidays even more!
