Dad's Weekend 2011

This weekend I got to partake in my first official Dad's Weekend at OSU. It was a lot of fun!

First, we started off on Friday night with the Comedy Show. It was really good! The headliner was Jon Reep, from Last Comic Standing. He was hilarious. The opener was just alright for me. Note to future comedians at school events: it's always really awkward if you make a lot of sex jokes in a room full of students with their parents.

Saturday we got up bright and early to get ready for the game. We had a 12:30 kick-off so we had to get over to the tailgate spot. We got there around 9am because, let's face it, true fans tailgate. We had a good turn out and lots of food and beer. I got kind of sad that it would be a year until we saw each other again.

We beat Washington! This was after the game was over. It was awesome to get a W on the final home game of the season.

M&D stayed Saturday night as well and we got up and went to New Morning Bakery for breakfast. It was my first time going there and it was SO good! Dad and I got pecan sticky buns and Mom got a regular cinnamon roll.

Tomorrow in the afternoon, April and I will be heading home for Thanksgiving! I'm so excited to see everyone, but mostly my nephew and niece. Happy Monday!
