An exciting event this week was my oldest friend (from 7th grade), Autumn, finally turned 21! We made a Target trip the day of because she wanted to get some things with her birthday money. I love Target so I'm always up for a trip!

I took her picture because it was her birthday but also because of her outfit. April and I bought her those silver TOMS as her gift and we refer to her shorts as her "safari shorts". April and I say that all she needs is a vest, hat, and binoculars and she's good to go out in the African jungle.

As I mentioned before, I flew up to Portland on Friday and since my plane was crazy early getting in, I looked around in some of the shops in the airport. I saw this backpack and considered getting it. A turtle shell backpack?! C'mon! This thing is a Mario Kart-er's dream. Although, we all know the red shells are better because they're the heat seeking ones, duh.

Pulling into my apartment complex. If you look closely, you can see the stadium in the background. I love that I'm living so close to campus!

I went to get Sonic happy hour for the family today, and this is what the temperature read in the truck. I could have died it was so hot outside. I do have to say though, I spent most of the day inside with the AC.

I've heard a lot about Pinterest online and on Twitter, and Middle Sister got into it and sent me an invite. I'm still not completely sure how to use it, but I think I'm figuring it out. It's really cool seeing what people "pin". I think this daily sheet is pretty cool. Especially the water intake, daily goals, and fitness. I think it's a good way to keep track.

This needs to be framed and everyone in our family needs this. Such a good motto.

This made me crack up! Mostly because it's so true. Now, I love Paula Deen, don't get me wrong. But sometimes I can't watch her show because everything is smothered in butter, gravy, or deep fat fried. Maybe it's because I've made changes in my life to eat better, but it makes my skin crawl and my arteries tighten when I see her cooking that way. Some say life is too short to be on a "diet" or watch what you eat, and I say, your life will be a hell of a lot shorter if you don't. All in all, I still love PD and think she's so cute, but it wouldn't hurt for her to throw in a salad or two with her meals.
That's all I've got, have a good night!
