Slimmin' Down Sundays, Week 1

I mentioned in a previous post that this blog was going to take a turn. And it's a weight loss turn. I've been overweight most of my life so this is my "journey", I guess, to do something about it.

I started really doing something about it in January. After summer break, I put a little of the weight back on (after traveling and being home with the family), so these are my stats as of today. Along with the first of my weekly pictures.

Here goes nothing...


Weight lost: 20lbs
Inches lost: 5
Days worked out this week: 4

Issues/Struggles:
This is my first week back at the gym in 3 months. That's right, I barely worked out between the months of June-September. So say that I am sore, is a understatement. The issues I'm having the most right now is my body not being in the "routine" that it was at the end of May. I had been down 30lbs and was working out probably 5-6 times a week for a good 1.5-2hrs.
As of right now, I get tired a lot easier and a lot faster. I know, though, that it will be soon enough that my body will be back to it's old, um, shape. Haha.

Noticeable differences:
My jeans still fit the same but my workout shirts have gotten a little looser. So that's good news!

Goals:
This week I want to be working out 5-6 days instead of 4. I think giving myself a 1 day break whether that's Friday or Saturday is good.

My long-term goal too is to lose the 10 I originally did back in May, plus an additional 20 by Christmas. So a total of 30 by December!

I'll try to keep my blog updated this week with other things too that do not pertain to weight loss.
