Groceries

Last post was my 70th post! How exciting!

I went grocery shopping yesterday and got a lot of good stuff! I also noticed that I didn't buy any meat. Am I going veggie? No, it just happened that way.

I normally just buy stuff that looks good, but this time I actually tried to plan out meals. I'll post pictures after I make them and let you know how I did.

Key Lime Bars: I crave sweet things and those are dang good. Also, 100% real fruit juice.

I bought some brown rice because I didn't have any. I still have white rice but I know that brown is much healthier for you. I don't want to waste the white rice and throw it out, but I don't want to eat it. What to do...

I also bought guacamole mix, because I'm addicted, and cajun seasoning for my chicken and tilapia, because I have a new love for spicy foods!

I was watching Oprah a couple weeks ago where her whole staff went vegan for a week. A few of her staff members lost a substantial amount of weight and said they felt better. Those few then went on to say that they had very bad eating habits before. Well, duh. Anyone would feel better and loose weight switching to veggies from fast food everyday.

Moral of the story: I would totally go vegetarian and probably vegan for a week. I would just have to train myself to stay away from cheese. I feel like I eat that unconsciously.

Anyways, anything you see here that I should omit? Why?

Have a good Saturday!

  1. Your selection looks pretty good. You have very few carbs which is great. That's where most people get in trouble going veg.
There is one item I would omit. And I would completely stay away from. The ingredients even start with carbs rather than protein, and that's the cat food. Haha. See if you can sub something else for that.
Just looking after your health. Hahaha. Your Mom.
