Easy day

Today was the definition of an easy day. I had my doctor's appointment, got a Dutch, went to Target with April, and then came home where I spent the rest of my day. Oh, and I may have fit in 30 minutes outside soaking up the vitamin D. 30 minutes was all I could handle though. It's H-O-T!

Because I have a sister that lives 3,000 miles away (not for much longer), I feel like I should let her, and whoever else cares, know how my appt went.

-Firstly, BEFORE I left Portland for the summer I was down 30lbs. Now, thanks to Europe, their great beer and Italian food, and my non-routineness, I am only down 26lbs.
-When I got my bloodwork done in December, my Insulin level was off the charts. Way too high. It was cut in half in March, but again, because of our ohh so healthy eating on our trip... it is high again.
-Like my insulin, my iron level has been abnormal too so my doc has had me on an iron supplement. My levels were good in March but because of a lack of routine on my part I haven't been taking my vitamins regularly.
-I lose a ton of hair, each day every day. Talked to my doc, and she decided to bump up my dosage of thyroid medicine to see if that helps.

So the summary is insulin level high again, iron level low again, need to lose those 4lbs (and a lot more), and higher dosage in my thyroid medicine.

Tonight is as non-eventful as my day was. Pop is out of town and so we're fending for ourselves for dinner. Trac and I are thinking Kaleidoscope for pizzas and salads. I bet you're missing the Best Coast right about now, aren't you Ging? I shall SEE you soon. And we shall indulge in the many things offered over here that are not offered over there.

Ohh, and got your snail mail, thanks!
